# 5050 import

> Import a Railway project, a Docker Compose file or Heroku variables.

Import a Railway project, a Docker Compose file or Heroku variables.

## Usage

```sh
5050 import railway --token TOKEN
5050 import compose FILE
5050 import heroku-env FILE
```

## Flags

| Flag | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `--token TOKEN` | Railway project token (used once, never stored) |

## Details

- Imports land as staged changes in a new project (Railway) or the linked environment (Compose, Heroku). Nothing deploys until you press **Deploy** or commit.
- `heroku-env` reads the output of `heroku config --json` or `heroku config -s`.
- See [Import from Railway](https://5050cloud.com/docs/guides/import-from-railway) and [Import Docker Compose](https://5050cloud.com/docs/guides/import-docker-compose).

## Railway equivalent

`railway import` works the same way through the [railway alias](https://5050cloud.com/docs/cli/railway-alias).

Every command also accepts the [global options](https://5050cloud.com/docs/cli/global-options).
